I’ve been doing Affiliate Marketing with Pinterest for almost a year now. When I first started, I didn’t have a blog. I did everything with only Pinterest. It is a great side hustle that I truly believe anyone can do.

Once I grasped what I was doing, I spent about 2 hours a day pinning, creating pins, and learning as much as I could about affiliate marketing. There were days I probably spent 4 hours doing this, while others day I spent 30 minutes doing it. I tried to stay consistent because everything I read said consistency is key. Also, I didn’t do it all in one sitting every day, I spread it out throughout the day.

Now you are probably thinking to yourself, I don’t have 2 hours a day to spend on Pinterest. But don’t worry, you can spend as little or as much time as you want. Do what works for you and what you can commit to do every day. Just make sure you can do it every day. Once you do grasp Affiliate Marketing and understand how it works, there are tools out there to make it MUCH easier. Now, I spend about 2 hours A WEEK (yes, 2 hours a week) doing affiliate marketing on Pinterest, but my consistency has not changed. I went from approx. 2 hours a day (approx 14 hours a week) to 2 hours a WEEK! These tools have helped to free up my time but allowed me to earn Passive Income.

Quick side story that explains how important it is to have a routine, stay consistent, and stick to it. I started Affiliate Marketing in May 2017. Throughout the summer, all my work was done manually. I was making money and everything was great. I noticed the more effort and time I put in, the better results I saw. September 2017 I went on vacation for 8 days to the Caribbean. I thought I would be able to keep up my Pinterest business while on vacation, but I was wrong. I went from spending 2 hours a day to about 10-20 minutes a day. I thought since I was still doing something, everything would be fine. Boy was I wrong. My numbers dropped drastically. Pinterest business accounts lets you see analytics and my numbers tanked that week and the following weeks to come. My engagement and viewers dropped significantly. I didn’t realize this until I got home from vacation and looked at my numbers. It took me about a month to get my numbers back to where they were before vacation. After I got my numbers where I wanted, I was ready to learn more about these tools to help my business grow so this would never happen again. Once I saw how great these tools where, my biggest regret was not implementing them sooner (especially before vacation). I have been able to save SO MUCH TIME now that I use these tools.

Now I am sure you are asking yourself, what tools are they?

1. The first tool I recommend is:  TailwindApp

What is Tailwind?

Tailwind is a tool that can help you to promote your content on Pinterest. You can use it for other platforms like Instagram, but when I started, I only focused on Pinterest, since that is where I was making my money. Tailwind lets you schedule your pins and posts the pins onto your Pinterest at the time and day you want. You can also use it to discover new content. Tailwind also has tribes, which is another way for you to get your content out there. When you first sign up with Tailwind, I strongly suggest you go through their video tutorial. It will help you to learn the ins and outs so you can get started right away.

Right now I schedule all my pins through Tailwind. I always try to have at least 2 weeks of content scheduled (lately I have been averaging a month). This way I don’t need to manually pin on Pinterest every day. Tailwind pins for me, all I have to do is add my content to Tailwind, and it will pin it to my Pinterest board throughout the day. So I now spend about 2 hours a week just to create new pins and load up my Tailwind queue.

If you click this link, you can get a free trial to Tailwind so you can explore and see what it is all about (no cost to you for this free trail). Once you sign up with this link, you can schedule up to 100 pins. After that, Tailwind will ask you to sign up with either a monthly or yearly plan. I chose the yearly plan so I can have unlimited pins every month.

2. The second tool I recommend is Board Booster.

What is Board Booster?

Board Booster is a tool  where you can loop content or schedule your content to your Pinterest account. It is similar to Tailwind but also very different. There are other features that BoardBoosters offer but right now I only use Board Booster to loop my content since I use TailwindApp to schedule. (This is a personal preference only because I signed up with Tailwind first and then I signed up with Board Booster. I haven’t used Board Booster to schedule so I cannot comment on how it works).

So I set up boardbooster to loop specific boards. What this means is that it takes pins that I pinned to the board previously and it reposts the pin. After a certain amount of time, Board booster will then delete the Pin that did not perform well. Board Boosters lets you set up the settings that works for you and your business. This way I don’t have duplicate pins on my boards.

Still not sure what I am saying? Let me break it down for you: I have a pin that I pinned months ago. Say it got 100 repins. I then set up Board Booster to loop that board. Board booster will then repin that pin to the same board. After a certain amount of time has passed, Board Booster will look at the stats of the new pin and the old pin. Say the new pin got 1000 repins, Board Booster will delete the original pin and keep the second pin that had more repins. You can change the settings that work for you and your needs. If both pins performed extremely well, you can make a setting to keep both pins instead of deleting one.

Board booster is a great tool to give attention to old pins so you can keep earning income on all Pins.

Want to Sign up with Board Booster? click here: Boast Booster  will require you to sign up with a monthly plan, so pick the plan that works for you.

Both of these tools have been awesome tools to help grow my Pinterest account and my passive income. After you get your feet wet and understand how everything works, I strongly recommend these tools. They have been such a life saver and like I mentioned earlier, my only regret was not using them sooner.
