UPDATED NOVEMBER 2021: Kohls STILL Takes expired Kohls Cash!

If you love shopping at Kohl’s, then you must check out this Kohl’s Hack! Kohls will accept EXPIRED KOHL’S CASH!

So if you love shipping at Kohls and taking advantage of all their sales and coupons, then you must remember to never throw away expired Kohl’s Cash.

Kohl’s is always offering Kohl’s cash back, which is practically cash. They usually have a short window to redeem them but if you accidentally let them expire, you can redeem them.

KOHL'S HACK - EXPIRED KOHL'S CASH

Kohl’s constantly has sales and coupons, so don’t ever buy something from there without a coupon. My favorite coupons are the 30% in store and their mystery coupons.

A few times a year they send out a mystery coupon so you have a chance to get a 40% off coupon, which I normally get a few times a year.

They also give out Kohl’s cash when you spend a certain amount of money, which I consider is the same thing as cash.

So I always shop the sales with a coupon, and never pay full price for anything. And you should do the same

HOW DO I KNOW EXPIRED KOHL’S CASH CAN STILL BE REDEEMED?

A few years ago, Kohl’s used to let you use Kohl’s cash after it expired. It didn’t matter when it expired, they would still take it.

Eventually, they changed their policy and they said you have to use it by the time it expired. There were no exceptions. Back in 2018, I learned the policy changed. And every few months I reach out to Kohl’s to make sure it hasn’t changed again.

A few months ago I was at the Kohl’s customer service counter doing an exchange. I was looking through my wallet for my Kohl’s cash and the first one I found was expired. I pulled it out and put it on the counter but kept looking for the one that I knew was still valid.

Once I found it, I handed it to the cashier. He then asked me for the one I put on the counter so he could scan it. I told him it was expired. He said sometimes they will still take it. I couldn’t believe those words were coming out of his mouth.

They would actually take EXPIRED KOHL’s CASH?!! SINCE WHEN?!

So I handed him the Kohl’s cash and he scanned it and sure enough it worked! I asked him how long after it expires they would take it and he said he wasn’t sure. He radioed his manager who ended up being near by and came over. The manager told me that they will take Kohl’s cash up until 10 days after it expires!

This was a game changer for me.

Sometimes when I get Kohl’s cash, you have to use it the following week. With my busy schedule, I couldn’t always make it in to shop and sometimes I forget to shop online. Now that you have an additional 10 days to use it, I make sure to always use my Kohls Cash back, even the expired ones.

Kohl’s Hack – Expired Kohl’s Cash

Now this was almost 3 years ago when I first heard they will accept Expired Kohl’s Cash.

Every few months when I’m at my local Kohl’s store, I check with the manager to see if this Kohl’s hack still works. And as of February 2021, it still works!

So make sure you physically save those Kohl’s cash just in case you forget to use them before they expire. You can use them up to 10 days after they expired.

Kohl’s is corporate store and they can change their policies at anytime. So next time you are in your local Kohl’s, ask the manager to check for you.
