Many people want to learn how to use Pinterest for their business since there are over 250 Million monthly users on Pinterest!

I am going to teach you how to increase your Pinterest engagement by using keywords. I have a true passion for Pinterest Marketing and I want to share my tips with you.

What Are Keywords?

Keywords are ideas and topics that determine what your content is about. They are are word(s) or phrases that one uses when searching for something.

For example, when you search for something on Pinterest, the word(s) you type in the search bar are keywords. In order for your pins to appear in search results, you need to make sure you are using relevant keywords. You want to make sure you are using relevant keywords on your Pins, Blog posts, Pinterest account, etc. If you use the keywords people are searching for, then you will have a higher chance in appearing in their search results.

How to Grow Your Pinterest Account

How to grow your Pinterest account, increase your monthly viewers, increase your follows, how to get more followers #pinterest #pinteresttips #pinterestaccount #keywords #blog #bloggingtips #blogginhelp #KAinspired

The number one question I get asked is how to grow your Pinterest Account. It seems that so many people want to learn how to gain more monthly viewers and more followers. I literally get asked this question several times a week because I currently reach over 5.6M monthly viewers. So it inspired me to write this blog post as I am sure there are other people out there wondering how to grow your Pinterest Account. If you follow the tips and strategies I provide below, you too can grow your Pinterest account.

Pinterest is considered a search engine. More than 250 million people use Pinterest every month. Now that is an insane amount of traffic. Pinterest is so powerful and unique that people actually prefer to search Pinterest before searching on Google. People love that Pinterest is a visual search engine.

If you take a peek at my Pinterest account, you’ll see that I have over 5.6 Million Monthly Viewers and almost 10,000 followers. I have been testing these Pinterest strategies for over a year now. So I know what works, what doesn’t work, and what is a complete waste of time.

There are so many reasons why one might want to learn how to grow your Pinterest account. I would have to say the main reason people want to grow their Pinterest account is to increase traffic to their blog or website. Pinterest is the reason for 90% of the traffic to my blog.

Before I started this blog, my main purpose for my Pinterest account was to make money from pinning. YES, I actually learned how to make a profit from pinning on Pinterest. You can read more about that here. I did this for a solid year before I started this blog. Pinterest was a fun hobby (and slight addiction) that I was excited when I learned that it was possible to make money from it. So I created a brand new Pinterest account. Then for a whole year I learned how to grow my account from zero to 5.6 Million monthly viewers and almost 10,000 followers!

Pinterest is constantly updating their process, algorithms, and how they do things. I made sure (and will continue to make sure) I stay on top of these changes. It is pretty common for Pinterest to make a change and then reverse it a few weeks later. So connect with me so I can update you on important changes.

Now, are you ready to learn how to grow your Pinterest account?

Follow these tips and strategies so you can gain more monthly viewers and followers!

1 – PIN EVERYDAY

This is an absolute must. You must pin every single day. Once you start pinning every day, Pinterest will see that you are a serious pinner and they will more likely show your content more often in the feed. So figure out a number that works for you and your schedule. Start small, like 5 or 10 pins a day (or pick a number that you can easily commit to pin everyday). Just make sure you pin that amount every day. Never pin less than that amount and you can absolutely pin more than that number. Just make sure on the days were you are strapped with time,  you pin the minimum.

Now you might be thinking, how am I supposed to pin everyday? Life get’s busy. I totally understand that. There is a program out there that will pin for you so you don’t have to manually pin everyday. If you don’t have Tailwindapp, I highly recommend that you look into it. Once a week I log on to Tailwindapp and schedule pins and it will pin those pins at the time and day I specify. I always make sure my Tailwindapp queue has at least 2 weeks worth of scheduled pins. If you are new to Tailwindapp, sign up through this link and you can get a free month for free so you can test it

2. KEYWORDS

You need to focus on keywords and SEO (search engine optimization). Remember earlier when I said Pinterest is considered a search engine? So you want your profile, your boards, and your pins to show in people’s searches. In order to show up in their searches, you need to focus on keywords. There are a few places where you can use keywords:

PINTEREST PROFILE

You should be using a Pinterest Business Account so you have access to reporting. If you have a regular Pinterest profile, you can easily convert it to a Pinterest Business Account. Once you have your Pinterest Business Account set up, you will be able to add a Business name and a description. In these two fields you will want to use keywords. This will increase your chances of your profile appearing in search results. If you appear in more searches, you have a higher chance of gaining more followers and more monthly viewers.

BOARD NAMES AND BOARD DESCRIPTIONS

You want to use keywords in your board names and descriptions. Don’t use cute board names like “yummy food” instead use keywords like Easy Dinner Recipes. This will increase your chances of your boards appearing in search results. If you appear in more searches, you have a higher chance of gaining more followers and more monthly viewers.

PINS

In your pin descriptions, you want to make sure you are using keywords. You want your pins to appear in search results because this will ultimately give you a higher chance of gaining more followers and more monthly viewers. This goes for both: your pins that you create as well as other pins you repin. When you repin another person’s pin, you do have the ability to edit the description. So if the descriptions are lacking, add more keywords to the description.

HOW TO FIND THE BEST KEYWORDS

You want to make sure you are using the best keywords on your Pinterest account. Using the best keywords will increase your chances of appearing in search results. The more often you appear in search results, the higher chance you have on gaining followers and monthly viewers. You want to add the keywords people are already using when they search Pinterest for that topic. If you are not sure which keywords to use, Pinterest will tell you what people are searching and you can use those as your keywords.

Go to your Pinterest account and search for the topic. For example, I went to Pinterest and searched “recipes”. Right below the search box, you will see a line of different colored boxes. Pinterest is telling you what people are searching for related to recipes. So people are searching for: healthy recipes, dinner recipes, crockpot recipes, cookie recipes, easy recipes, etc. So if I was pinning a recipe, I would add the relevant keywords to my descriptions to increase my chances of showing up in the search results when people search those keywords. Don’t forgot, people search two ways: with and without hashtags. So you should add both to your descriptions.

3 –  Join Group Boards

A group board is similar to a regular Pinterest Board. The only difference is that the creator can invite other people (known as collaborators) to Pin to the board. This allows your pin to be seen by the board owner and their followers as well as the other collaborators and their followers. So group boards are a great way to share your content and reach more people.

Once I started joining and participating in group boards, my followers and monthly engagement started to climb faster. I was able to reach more people and more people liked the content I was sharing and I saw the numbers rise before my eyes.

Are you interested in joining group boards and learning how to find a group boards? Check out my post here: How to Find Pinterest Group Boards. In this blog post I also list the groups boards I currently have open that are accepting new contributors.

4 –  CONTENT

You want to make sure you are sharing high quality content, whether it is pins you created or pins you are repinning. You want to share pins that stand out. Most people who use Pinterest use it on a mobile device. So when they are scrolling on Pinterest, it is very easy to scroll fast. So you want to make sure you are sharing content that stands out and catches someones eyes.

When creating your own pins or repinning other people’s pins, there are a few things you should look for or do:

– Valid Links: Make sure the link is valid. Don’t share broken links or pins that go to sites that are not related.

How to Use Seasonal Marketing Strategies to Increase Your Business

How to use Seasonal Marketing to increase your business #online #onlinebusiness #blog #blogger #affiliatemarketing #makemoney #makemoneyonline #sidehustle #KAinspired

Have you noticed that certain times of the year you may see an increase or decrease in your traffic on your social platform, specifically Pinterest or your Blog? One reason you may see this can be related to seasons, holidays, and events. Many call this Seasonal Marketing.

What is Seasonal Marketing?

Seasonal marketing is pretty much what it sounds like: throughout the year, many brands will adjust their marketing strategy to align with upcoming seasons, holidays, and events. Consumers change their behavior based on these seasons, holidays, and events scattered throughout the year. So brands will change their marketing strategies to incorporate these behaviors so they can capitalize on these seasons, holidays, and events.

For instance, this past weekend I was out shopping and I noticed stores are starting to carry Fall, Halloween, and Thanksgiving items. IT’S ONLY JULY! Brands will see an increase in traffic due to these events or holidays so they have to plan ahead in order to capitalize on the interest. I do feel it’s a little early to see pumpkins on the shelves but many brands are looking to capitalize on every season, holiday, and event. This is called Seasonal Marketing.

Now you might be thinking,
