Do you want to learn how to use Seasonal Marketing Strategies to Increase your Business?
Have you noticed that certain times of the year you may see an increase in traffic?
If you answered yes, then this post is for you! You may be seeing an increase in traffic because of Seasonal Marketing.
I am going to teach you what seasonal marketing is and how you can apply it to your business.
What is Seasonal Marketing?
Seasonal marketing is a form of marketing that focus on creating marketing campaign that align with upcoming seasons, holidays, and events.
Consumers change their behavior based on these annual occasions that are scattered all throughout the year. They usually will spend more money during these seasons, holidays, and events.
Just about every brand out there changes their marketing strategies so they can capitalize on their consumers behavioral changes based on seasonal trends.
Just this morning I was shopping at my local grocery store and they have a whole aisle filled with Halloween Candy. IT’S ONLY JULY!
It’s pretty common for many stores and brands to see an increase in traffic due to certain holidays and events. So they have to plan ahead and implement Seasonal Marketing Strategies in order to capitalize on the interest.
While I do feel it’s a little early to see pumpkins and Halloween Candy on the shelves but many brands are looking to capitalize on every season, holiday, and event. And they need to be ahead of it. They need to be stocked and ready to go weeks before the holiday.
Have you noticed the few days before Christmas if stores have any Christmas decorations left, they start to move it to clearance? Their goal is to sell it all before Christmas because they need to start making room for the Valentines Day’, the next big holiday.
Clothing stores do the same thing. I live in New England and we get snow well into March. But I can head to the local Target Store in January and see bathing suits for sale
This is called Seasonal Marketing.
Is seasonal marketing really for YOU?
I would say yes! Of course it depends on your niche but for most niches you should absolutely be using Seasonal Marketing strategies to increase your business.
Consumers spend more money during these seasons, holidays, and events. So if you can create seasonal content that relates to your niche, then you can increase your traffic and sales.
When I first started implementing Affiliate Marketing with Pinterest a year ago, I was constantly analyzing the data and trends so I could maximize my earnings. I wanted to make sure I was posting content that was trending at relevent times.
By sharing seasonal content, around these occasions, you will see an uptick in traffic which can result in more sales.
Timing is Key
When implementing seasonal marketing strategies to increase your business, you need to be strategic and mindful of the occasion you want to capitalize on.
You need to create unique content and post your content at the right time to maximize engagement and sales.
So pull up your calendar and take note which seasons, holidays, and occasion you want to market for.
Then mark 6-8 weeks before each of those occasions. This is when you want to start promoting your content.
You want to post your seasonal content 6 to 8 weeks BEFORE the occasion. So make sure your content is ready to go so you can start marketing 6 to 8 weeks before the occasion hits.
Many people like to prepare weeks in advance. Even if they don’t necessary purchase so far in advance of the holiday, they do think about the upcoming occasion.
They’ll start searching for ideas and inspiration. So you want to create and promote product that they will see.
If you post on Pinterest, it can take a few weeks for a new pin to gain traction and go viral. So you want to give your Pinterest Pins plenty of time to take off.

This is really helpful around Thanksgiving and Christmas when life gets busy and hectic, I know I can count on Tailwind to post my content for me.
If you have yet to try to Tailwind, here is a free month of Tailwind so you can see if it’s a great fit for your business.
