What is Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate Marketing is the process of promoting and/or referring products or services and earning a commission from the sale.
First you will need to join an affiliate program. Once you are accepted, the affiliate company will provide you with exclusive URLS, which are known as affiliate links.
Your affiliate links will track the amount of clicks and sales you receive so your affiliate company can pay you commission for the sales your brought to their company.
There is no charge for the buyer to purchase a product or service through your link. When they click your link, they will be brought to the retailers website where they can make the purchase, at the regular price.
The affiliate company will pay you commission of the sale since you ultimately brought the buyer to their website.
How to get started with Affiliate Marketing
There are thousands of affiliate marketing programs that you can join but you should only join the ones that fit your niche.
Once you decide on an affiliate program, read their terms. The terms will have valuable information such as cookie windows, payment terms, and other important information.
You really don’t want to waste your time with companies that have short cookie windows or low commission percentages because it will take forever to make a full time income. So look for high paying affiliate programs.
Once you are accepted into an affiliate program, it’s time to promote your affiliate links for the products and services you have used and like.
WHERE TO PROMOTE YOUR AFFILIATE LINKS
There are multiple ways you can promote your affiliate links.
The most common way bloggers use affiliate marketing is by sharing their affiliate links in their blog posts.
If you don’t have a blog or if you want to expand your online business, you can also post affiliate links on your social platforms!
That’s right, you can share affiliate links directly on Facebook, Pinterest,Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn!
You can also add affiliate links to your own digital content, such as an E-Book. If you send emails, you can include affiliate links there as well.
Of course, before you start promoting affiliate links, read your affiliate programs terms. Sometimes, some affiliate programs restrict where you can post.
Always follow your affiliate marketing programs terms because if you get caught not following their terms, you can be banned from their program.
The Best Affiliate Marketing Programs
There are thousands of affiliate programs out there, but you should only join the best high paying affiliate marketing programs that fit your niche and your brand.
I suggest starting with a few affiliate programs until you develop your own affiliate marketing strategy.
Check out these high paying affiliate marketing programs for bloggers and social media influencers.
MagicLinks
MagicLinks is a great affiliate program network that partners with hundreds (maybe even thousands) of different merchants. They offer pay per sale and pay per click.
Once you get accepted into MagicLinks, you can start creating affiliate links with any of the merchants they partner with.
MagicLinks is very easy to use. I installed their Chrome extension to my browser so I can easily generate affiliate links from websites I use.
Amazon Associates
Amazon Associates is is the affiliate program for Amazon.
Everyone shops on Amazon so there is a high chance that you can make money with this affiliate program.
I buy almost everything I need on Amazon. I would be lost without Amazon Prime.
The only downside to Amazon is that they do have a shorter cookie window. Even though they have a shorter window, I still suggest using Amazon Affiliate program because they are a very common and popular retailer.
ShareASale
ShareASale is another Affiliate Marketing Network that partners with thousands of different brands. They are similar to MagicLinks but they do operate differently.
Once you are accepted into ShareASale, you will then then need to search their database for all the brands/merchants that they partner with. Then you will need to apply to each brand individually.
AWIN
Awin is another Affiliate Marketing Network company that partners with thousands brands. They are very similar to ShareASale.
Once you are accepted to their program, you will then need to apply to each brand you want to work with.

Affiliates are such a great way to make some side income. I need to join in some and get it rolling.
I was looking for some new affiliate programs and found some from here. I was only aware of ShareaSale and Amazon Associates. Thanks for sharing.
So many options but nothing has worked for me s far.
I never knew there were so many options! thank you!
How many affiliate pins do you post daily? I have tried this and am not getting traffic.
I usually post about 50 pins per day. They are all scheduled through Tailwind. The 50 include: my blog posts pins, affiliate pins, and other people’s pins. Are the affiliate pins you post related to the other content you pin on pinterest?
My most popular board according to Pinterest and Tailwind is “Pottery “ I have been creating affiliate Pins in this niche.
I think I need to make many more Pins. Pottery is a very small niche and I am still searching for communities I can follow and join within this topic. I am making headway but I want to learn whatever I can. If you have any suggestions, I am willing to learn.
As a new blogger, I found the info very useful. Never heard any affiliate other than Amazon! thank you so much for sharing the list.
There are so many different affiliate programs out there. Definitely branch out. It’s good to use a mix of companies so you don’t rely on just one company (such as Amazon). Other companies have better cookie windows than Amazon.
