3 Easy Ways To Create Video Pins for Pinterest

PINTEREST VIDEO PINS

Pinterest introduced video Pins in 2018, which were first used for ads. Eventually, they opened it up and they now allow Pinterest Business Accounts to upload video Pins.

Pinterest has made it clear that they actually prefer video pins over still images.

Pinterest has always made it known that they want Fresh Pins over repins. But now they are stating they are giving priority to Video Pins.

Video Pins are taking over the top search results and are appearing more and more in the home feed.

You may notice that there are not a lot of Video Pins on Pinterest. A lot of content creators struggle with creating video pins.

So if you have been avoiding creating and sharing Video Pins on Pinterest, this Post is for you! I’m going to share 3 easy ways to create Video Pins for Pinterest.

USE CANVA TO CREATE VIDEO PINs

CANVA is a free tool that is so easy to use to create content. I love to use CANVA to create pins.

You can upgrade to CANVA PRO but it is not necessary. The free version comes with so many templates, fonts, stock photos and VIDEOS!

One of the newer features of CANVA is animation. So you can easily take a pin you have already created (or create a new pin) and add “animation” to make it a video pin.

You can also upload videos to CANVA to make videos pins or search the CANVA database stock videos. If you do upgrade to CANVA PRO, you’ll notice you’ll have more options to choose from when it comes to colors, fonts, videos, photos, templates, and more.

SAVE YOUR TIKTOK VIDEOS TO PINTEREST

TIKTOK is probably one of the hottest apps on the market right now.

TIKTOK makes it easy to create videos. You can easily upload photos and videos and then add music, stickers, animation, filters, words and so much more to make it a TIKTOK video.

Once the video is uploaded to your TIKTOK account, you’ll then be able to download it to your phone. Once downloaded, you can then share the video on Pinterest.

Or if you want to add more to it, you can upload the video to CANVA. You can make your edits and then upload to Pinterest.

Sometimes I like to upload the video to CANVA to make sure the VIDEO PINS are in the 2:3 ratio that Pinterest Prefers.

USE POWERPOINT TO CREATE VIDEO PINS

Powerpoint is another easy way to create FREE Video Pins for Pinterest.

If you have Microsoft Office on your laptop, it’s time to dust off those PowerPoint skills.

In order to make videos Pins for Pinterest with PowerPoint, first you will want to make sure the slideshow has the correct size of 2:3.

Next you will want to create slides. You can create a one page slideshow that include animation and music or you can create a slideshow with multiple slides. Just set a timer so it will automatically play and show the next slide.

Don’t forget to add music and animation to every slide.

Once your slideshow is ready, you will want to save it as a Video and then upload to Pinterest.

I have been reading about how popular video pins have been lately and so had been wondering how I can create one and adding these to my profile. I didn’t realize that these pins can be created so easily using Canva pro by uploading a video as well as adding animation to an image – that’s so helpful to know.
