Nobody actually enjoys the moving process. Packing, moving large furniture, and cleaning a new home (and your old home) takes a lot of time, energy, and muscle. That’s why I always recommend hiring a moving company to save you and your sanity during your stressful move. If you are hesitating of hiring movers, here are 5 benefits of hiring a moving company:

5 BENEFITS OF HIRING MOVERS

Your Movers Will Help You Cut Down On The S Word

And what is that “s” word that I’m talking about? Stress, of course!

Moving is stressful. So finding ways to cut back on that stress will help you significantly. Although no move can be entirely stress-free, hiring a moving company that does it all for you can eliminate a substantial amount of the burden.

Renting and driving a large truck yourself is a big undertaking and if you weren’t aware, it also comes with a lot of liability (aka added on stress!). Don’t want to worry about anything when it comes to your move? Hire someone to take over a lot of the work for you.

No Injuries, No Problems

Moving furniture and heavy boxes requires a lot of physical labor. It puts you at high risk for back pain, neck pain, joint pain, and a slew of other injuries that are likely to happen with lifting and moving heavy objects for a long period of time.

Many moves can take up to twelve or more hours to complete and your body goes through a lot of stress during that time. Some people cannot move themselves at all, yet try to anyway, and end up getting very hurt in the process. Others think that they can move themselves (and maybe they can move some of their items), but get hurt when moving something a bit too heavy.

Your Furniture Will Get Extra Care

A lot can happen during a move.

Furniture can bump into walls, banisters and door frames, boxes can fall on the way to the truck, and objects can collide inside the truck. One of the biggest concerns when moving is making sure both homes, new and old, as well as your belongings remain undamaged during the trip.

When you hire a moving company, you should not have to worry about this since they are trained professionals (literally). They know how to go around tight corners, lift furniture properly, and set things down carefully, in order to keep your home and furniture safe and sound.

Faster = Better In This Case

When you move yourself, it takes you quite a bit of time since you do not know the ins and outs of moving.

A moving company does this regularly (daily, even) and knows how to move your items safely, yet also very quickly. When you are moving, faster typically equals better because you just want to be in your new home.

The moving company that you hire should have years of experience moving families and businesses. They are basically a well-oiled machine that can complete your move with the utmost efficiency. This will get you into your new home much faster!

You Will More Than Likely Save Money

Another benefit of hiring a moving company? More than likely, you will end up saving money. You might be thinking, “how is this possible?” Yes, you are paying a moving company upfront, but keep in mind these points:

  1. Time is money.
  2. Your furniture is safe in your home, without damages. Imagine if you ended up breaking your large furniture items?
  3. You also do not have to pay for any costly surgeries that were a result of trying to pick up large furniture
  4. Last but not least, you do save on moving and packing items, such as a dolly and a truck.

We are military and have had a ton of moves (all paid for by the government) and I don’t think I would have enjoyed these moves if it weren’t for movers! Granted sometimes some things would get broken or missing but overall it is so worth using a moving company—especially if you have children.

Thanks for explaining how moving companies save us money. I want to find a larger apartment to move to. I’m glad I learned why hiring removalists would be worth the cost.

I am grateful for your statement about how hiring a moving company can give you peace of mind about your furniture. My aunt and uncle are moving next week. I will suggest that they hire a professional moving company.

Thanks for pointing out that moving furniture and heavy boxes will require a lot of physical labor which could cause back pain, neck pain, joint pain, and others. With this in mind, I will consider hiring a moving company. I am planning to move to the new house that I bought before the month ends. Since I have scoliosis, and I am prohibited from lifting heavy items, it will make sense for me to get the help of a pro.

It’s interesting that you mention that hiring a moving company to help you relocate to a new home can help you save money. I need to get all of my stuff to my new house next week, so hiring a moving service sounds like a great idea. I’m going to look for a good provider of moving services that I can hire.

You got my attention when you said that you could be at high risk for back pain, neck pain, joint pain, and other injuries when you lift furniture and heavy boxes on your own. With this in mind, I will be sure to hire a professional moving company. My plan is to move to the house that I bought 3 months ago since the contract for the apartment where I have been staying will expire next month. I will do your tips to keep myself safe during the move.

How great that you discuss how many things can happen during a move to cause damage. My husband and I are moving this summer. We will find a great moving company locally.

You made a good point when you said that you will be required to exert a lot of physical labor when you move furniture and heavy boxes. This reminded me of my parents who need to move to their new house, and they need to have their furniture removed from their apartment. They both have back problems due to scoliosis, so it would make sense for them to hire a professional.

You bring up a great point that having movers can cut back on the amount of stress you experience during a move. I am moving to a new city because my job is transferring me. I need to be packed up and moved by the end of next month, so I should definitely contact a removal company in the area to help.

I totally agree with what you said that moving fragile appliances such as picture frames or mirrors is the biggest concern when moving, because there’s a possibility that it might get damaged. My brother is moving out of my house and we are looking for moving companies to help us. Nine years of staying with me, he has a lot of furniture and appliances that need to be transported to his new place. With that being said, we’ll make sure to hire furniture removalist to help us.

I had no idea that hiring movers can help you save money since they won’t damage any of your furniture like you might. I have always thought that movers were an unnecessary expense. After reading this, I think it’s probably a good idea to invest in moving services.
