Pinterest Marketing Strategy To Quickly Grow Your Traffic
Pinterest is very simple to use and it can make a huge impact on your business, if you learn how to use Pinterest Strategically.
If you are using Pinterest to promote your content than you need to make sure you create a Pinterest profile that attracts your target audience. Here are a few things you should do right away to your Pinterest Account:
- Use a Pinterest Business Account: this will allow you to report on your account
- Complete the “about your Profile” section: Think of this as a Bio that explains your purpose and who you are. Make sure you include keywords!
- Add a photo that represents your brand. I suggest using a photo of yourself so your audience can see you are a real person.
- Complete your Display Name: this could be your business name but I highly suggest you include keywords to describe who you are and what you do.
- Create Boards related to your Niche. Make sure you complete the board description and don’t forget to include keywords that are related to the board.
- Add Pins to your Boards: You want to add high-quality pins to your boards. Make sure the pin has a great description with (you guessed it) keywords!
You want to make sure you create a Pinterest Account that stands out.
You want to use KEYWORDS related to your Niche everywhere you can. This is also known as Pinterest SEO. This will set up your account to be seen in search results so people can find you and your content.
If you need help with keywords, check out How To Find Keywords To Use With Pinterest.
You need to make sure you are an active Pinterest User.
You need to make sure you pin every single day. Whether you pin your own pins or repin other pins, you want to make sure you are saving high quality pins to your boards every single day.
You can manually pin the pins to your account everyday or you can use Tailwind. Tailwind is a scheduler program that will pin your pins to Pinterest on the days and times you specify. I always make sure my Tailwind Queue is loaded with at least 2 weeks worth of pins. So on those days where I can’t manual pin, I know Tailwind will pin for me.
Once Pinterest sees you are an active user, they will start to increase your Pinterest engagement. This means they will show your pins more often to other users. The more active you are with sharing high quality content, the more likely Pinterest will show your content in the feed for other users to see.
So make sure the pins you are sharing are a high-quality images that have a great descriptive description. Use keywords that are related to the pin. Even if you repin other peoples pin, check the description before you click save on that pin. Pinterest SEO is so important if you want to appear in search results.
Optimize Your Website
You want to make sure you optimize your website for Pinterest.
All your blog posts should include at least one Pinterest Pin Worthy Image along with the Pinterest Save Button.
When people are reading your website and they love the content, they are going to want to share it with others. One way people will share is to Pinterest.
Make it easy for your readers to share your blog post by adding the Pinterest Save button. This allows your reader to hover right over the photo and share it or use a social share plug-in so your readers can easily share your blog post to their social platform of choice.
When your audience shares your blog post, you want to make sure they are sharing a Pinterest Pin Worthy Image. The image should be vertical, easy to read and understand, and clearly shows what the blog post is about. USE ANALYTICS TO IMPROVE YOUR RESULTS
You need to make sure you analyze your work to ensure what you are doing is working for your business. What one person does may not always work for the next. So you need to anaylze your results.
When you have a Pinterest Business Account, you have access to Analytics. You can check your most popular pins, how many saves your receiving it, how many clicks, and so much more.
If you use Tailwind, you can check their insights for information on how well your pins perform and how well your boards do. I personally like to use both sources to check my Pinterest Account to see how well it is performing. I also check Google Analytics to analyze the traffic Pinterest is bringing to my blog.
If you are not seeing the results you expected to so, then you may need to tweak your Pinterest Marketing Strategy. After you implemented the items above and you are not seeing the results you expected, try changing the style of your pins. Use different colors, images, and fonts. You need to figure out what your audience likes so you can create Pins that they will interact with.
In order to be successful with Pinterest, you need to have a solid Pinterest Marketing Strategy. You need to think of Pinterest as a search engine. So you need to include Pinterest SEO throughout your entire Pinterest account. This includes your Pin descriptions, your board Names, Your Board description, your bio and name.
Adding the right keywords will help you to appear in search results. Once you appear in search results, you need to make sure you content stands out so your readers will click and save your Pins.
Keep in mind, Pinterest is a long term game. Results will not happen overnight so that is why you need to stay active and consistent with your Pinterest Marketing Strategy so you will see results.
