Pinterest Marketing Strategy To Quickly Grow Your Traffic
Pinterest is very simple to use and it can make a huge impact on your business, if you learn how to use Pinterest the right way.
If you are using Pinterest to promote your content than you need to make sure you create a Pinterest profile that attracts your target audience.
Here are a few things you should do right away to your Pinterest Account:
- Use a Pinterest Business Account: You’ll have access to analytics so you can track how your account and pins are doing
- Complete the “about your Profile” section: Think of this as a Bio that explains your purpose and who you are. Make sure you include Pinterest Keywords!
- Add a photo that represents your brand. I suggest using a photo of yourself so your audience can see you are a real person.
- Complete your Display Name: this could be your business name but I highly suggest you include Pinterest Keywords! to describe who you are and what you do.
- Create Boards related to your Niche. Make sure you complete the board description and don’t forget to include Pinterest Keywords that are related to the board.
- Add Pins to your Boards: You want to add high-quality pins to your boards. Make sure the pin has a great description with (you guessed it) Pinterest Keywords!
You want to make sure you create a Pinterest Account that stands out and it’s so important to use Pinterest Keywords. Using the right keywords on your profile will help you to appear in search results.
You need to make sure you are an active Pinterest User.
To be an ACTIVE Pinterest User, you need to pin consistently. You want to make sure you are creating and pinning high quality pins to your boards. It’s best to pin 5 to 7 times a weeks. Even if its just one new pin a day.
Once Pinterest sees you are an active user, they will start to show your content more and increase your Pinterest engagement.
This means they will show your pins more often to other users. The more active you are with sharing high quality content, the more likely Pinterest will show your content in the feed for other users to see it.
So make sure the pins you are sharing are a high-quality images that have a great description full of Pinterest Keywords.
Optimize Your Website
You want to make sure you optimize your website for Pinterest.
All your blog posts should include at least one Pinterest Pin Worthy Image along with a social share plug in.
A Pinterest Worthy Image is a vertical image that is easy to read, understand and clearly shows what the blog post is about.

When people are reading your website and they love the content, they are going to want to share it. They will share it to their social media accounts such as Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
So make it easy for your readers to share your your content. The social share plug-in allows your readers to easily share your blog post to their social platform of choice.
USE ANALYTICS TO IMPROVE YOUR RESULTS
You need to use analytics to ensure what you are doing is working for your business,
What one person does may not always work for the next. So you need to analyze your results and make adjustments as needed.
When you have a Pinterest Business Account, you have access to Analytics. You can check your most popular pins, how many saves your receiving it, how many clicks, and so much more.
If you use Tailwind, you can check their insights for additional information on how well your pins perform and how well your boards are doing.
I personally like to use both sources to check my Pinterest Account to see how well it is performing. I also check Google Analytics to analyze the traffic Pinterest is bringing to my blog.
If you are not seeing the results you expected, then you may need to tweak your Pinterest Marketing Strategy.
After you implemented the items above and if you are not seeing the results you expected, try changing the style of your pins. Use different colors, images, and fonts. You need to figure out what your audience likes so you can create Pins that they will be attracted to.
In order to have a successful Pinterest Marketing Strategy, you need to follow the items I mentioned above.
You need to remember that Pinterest is a search engine. You want to think like your audience so your content will appear in their search results.
Don’t forget to focus on Pinterest SEO.
Adding the right keywords will help you to appear in search results. Once you appear in search results, you need to make sure you content stands out so your readers will click through and save your Pins.
Keep in mind, Pinterest is a long term game. Results may not happen overnight so that is why you need to stay active and consistent with pinning. Doing everything I mentioned above will help you to have the ultimate Pinterest Marketing Strategy.
